Furoshiki

Usando una técnica japonesa así es como envolví la botella de vino que le regalamos a Ana B. por su cumpleaños.

En Japón se llama Furoshiki a una tela cuadrada utilizada desde hace años para envolver y transportar todo tipo de objetos. Las telas utilizadas pueden ser de distintos materiales, desde simples telas de algodón hasta delicadas sedas pintadas. Aquí podéis encontrar diversas técnicas para envolver con furoshiki. 

Utilicé un cuadrado de seda teñida a mano. Para empezar, se coloca la botella en medio del cuadrado de tela, con dos de los extremos hacemos un nudo y con los otros dos rodeamos la botella como se ve en las imágenes. Hacemos un nudo alrededor del cuello de la botella. Tras éstos pasos, los cuatro extremos de la tela quedarán juntos, con ellos, fui haciendo nudos entre ellos para formar la flor.

This is how I wrapped, using a japanese tecnique, the wine bottle for Ana B. birthday's gift. 

In Japan Furoshiki is a square piece of fabric used for years to wrap or transport different objects. The fabric used in furoshiki could be of different types: from simple cotton fabric to delicate painted silk. Here you can find several tecniques to wrap with furoshiki. 

I used a hand-dyed square silk. To begin, I put the bottle in the middle of the silk, with two ends I did a knot and turn the other two around the bottle as you can see in the picture. I performed a knot with them around the bottle's neck. After these steps, the four ends of the fabric must be together, I did several knots with them to create the flower.
